how do you get rid of the excess weight after having c-section for 2nd baby?

i have had two babys, one nearly 4 who i had no problems during pregnancy or labour, however my second baby was breech n i had 2 have c- section. now my son is 14 months old and i have still got the belly there. i used 2 be a size 8/10, just cant get my trousers across my stomach. is there any excercises i can do 2 help this. i am fit n healthy running around after my lil girl so i am quite active. but its not going…… please if anyone can suggest something……
i am 34. size 8/10 and i eat plenty of fruit n veg. and i run around after my daughter too.

I’m trying to lose weight but i’m a picky eater and eat the wrongs foods, please help me! (I’m almost 20)

Well I'm 19, and I'll be 20 in a few months. I'm 5'7 and I want to get to a weight of 160. So I have to lose about 50lbs. I already previously asked a question on what to do in terms of exercise and things like that, so basically I need some diet tips. But I'm just super picky, can someone help please.

1. I like fruits (Bananas are my favorite), but I don't like Veggies (only corn)

2. I like Chicken & Red Meat, but I don't like any sort of pork.
I've grown up my whole life basically eating Pasta & Rice w/ Meat. That's what I've grown to love. Can I still eat that?

3. I know I got to give up my sweets and sodas and drink more water, but is Fruit Punch and Milk good for you as well?
"Smart Choice" lunches, I love them (and Lean Crusine), and those good ideas to eat? Better for lunch or dinner?

4. What is a great breakfast meal to have?

5. (What about the Low-Carb ice cream and cookies, are those okay to have as sweets?)

Any other ideas & suggestions, PLEASE TELL ME!

I know a girl who has been dieting since she was 13 and still is (she's probably around 15 now). What are the chances of her getting an eating disorder? I've heard that like 86% of girls who diet at that age end up with one, is that true? What statistics do you have/know? I really would like to warn her parents, especially since they see nothing wrong with her behavior. I'm not sure if she's throwing up in a bathroom or anything like that, but she definately is watching what she is eating, eating foods marked "low carb", keeping track of how many pounds she has lost, and exercises for the benefit of weight loss. Also looks like she could use a vitamin if you know what I mean..

From a strictly nutritional stand point, a diet is simply “the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism.”

No sacrifice stated or implied.

Every organism alive is on a DIET…has been since it’s life began…and will be till it’s life ends.

A human new-born thrives on a diet of milk alone–natural or “formulated”. Soon enough that diet expands to include strained thises and thats; and before long the transition to solid food. Somehow these youngsters know when they reached a healthy limit and they turn instantly to some other diversion.

Never bored, and living in a relatively stress free world, they simply eat to live rather than “living to eat”.

Living to eat comes later, and is a learned rather than instinctual response to hunger.

Exposure to the all pervasive world of advertising comes along at just about the same time as the transition to solid food. Now instead of being satisfied by the healthful and nutritious offerings from a loving parent, they are tempted and re-tempted by a constant barrage of sugary delights.

Prove it to yourself. Watch an hour or so of what is currently being offered as and see for yourself. A few dozen empty calorie messages later, you will probably find yourself very “hungry”; and it will be a totally misguided hunger that has nothing to do with “eating to live”.

And thus begins the “eating in response to” experience. Some of us eat “in response” to boredom; for many it is stress; for some it comes with frustration. For a lot of us it is simply a response to suggestion–TV, and radio, magazine ads, billboard blasts,–you name it. It often seems that the world is conspiring to cause overeating.

Just how effective that “conspiracy” can be is borne out by the fact that over half of the world’s population is overweight. Over HALF–and increasing (poor pun intended) every year. And that’s in the face of natural selection–nature’s way of “thinning the herd”. We who are overweight tend to die sooner–the ultimate “double whammy”. We pay a dear price for these extra pounds; and our kids are practically guaranteed the same fate.

Since you’ve read this far, it’s safe to assume that you’ve already been around the “dieter’s world/hell” long enough to be familiar with the buzz words: NEW MIRACLE DIET, LOSE WEIGHT FAST, THE LAST DIET YOU WILL EVER NEED, GREEN/BLACK/WHITE TEA DIET, etc.

Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all, put things in a new perspective. Google returned 29,500,000 results for the word “diets”. That’s TWENTY NINE AND A HALF MILLION.

Can they all be effective? Sure. Because the bottom line for all of them…at least the legal ones…is simple: EAT LESS…EXERCISE MORE. Twenty nine and a half million pages condensed into four words. And you thought this was gonna be tough?

Sure, lots of those millions of pages suggest that you: EAT LESS…EXERCISE MORE and “drink this magic tea” or “eat this magic supplement” or “drink gallons of cabbage soup” or some such.

The question that so many of us fail to ask is: “What happens if I just EAT LESS…EXERCISE MORE and also save a gazillion dollars by not buying any of your magic pills, potions and soup recipes?”

We all know the answer; yet we continue searching for the “miracle” diet, routine, and/or supplement.

At the risk of short circuiting over twenty-nine million other suggestions, it’s time to accept the fact that the only “magic” is in us–programmed there since birth. We simply need to get back in touch.

I'm due Sept, 21st and celebrating my birthday on Halloween and want to look my best in my costume which will be alittle revealing. I have only gained 33 lbs so far in my pregnancy and I weighed 120 lbs. before pregnant. What do you think I will be down to if I follow a strict diet and excercise plan by Halloween?

Living a healthy lifestyle generally means eating right, participating in a moderate exercise program, limiting alcohol consumption, not smoking and maintaining a normal weight. It may sound daunting to most people who are limited by job and family commitments, time constraints or simply lack of initiative. Talking to a counselor or adopting a quit-smoking buddy has been shown to help smokers quit smoking at higher rate than trying to go it alone. Side effects of smoking include rapid heartbeat, decreased circulation, and shortness of breath and more serious problems like cancer, emphysema and heart disease can eventually develop.

Drinking alcohol in moderation has actually been shown to benefit the cardiovascular system. However, consuming more than a glass or two a day can cause liver damage. The liver acts as a giant filter system of the body. When the filter is clogged, the body does not function properly. Jaundice, gallstones, blood clotting difficulties, organ failure and death can result when the liver is compromised.

Maintain a healthy weight for your body type by watching your diet and incorporating fitness into your lifestyle. You can calculate your body mass index (BMI) by dividing your body weight by the square of your height, or a much simpler method is to use one of the many BMI calculators available online.
