If I drink 2 to 3 quarts of water a day. Cut out all soda which by the way I used to drink around 10 sodas a day if not more. Cut down on sugar so no koolaid either just water and occasional gatorade once in awhile for the electrolytes and the flavor. Eating the same things I usually eat minus some stuff thats really fattening and then serve a plate for what I think I can eat and then cut that in half and chew my food slowly with drinks of water inbetween bites. Switch to whole grain bread instead of white. Eat veggies and fruits for snacks instead of a bag of chips or cookies. Walk 30 minutes to an hour a day and do a full richard simmons vhs’s sweating to the oldies excersize tape 3 times a week. Also 2 or 3 situps a day because I really suck at them and its hard right now. Will this help me lose weight and about how much weight can I lose from doing this for one month and then adding to my excersizes and calorie intake the next month? Is this a good diet? is it doable and will it even help me lose weight or is there more I can do? Thanks for your help everyone.

Can you lose weight just from exercising?

I am not obese, but I just wanted to know if I eat the same amount of food but start running at least a mile 6 days a week will I lose any weight? That would be on top of the mile I already walk every day with my dog. Just curious, cause I don’t want to change my diet because I do not think it is unhealthy. I rarely eat fast food, maybe twice a month and only have about 3 cookies a day when I get back from school. Oh, and please understand I am not aiming to lose weight, cause I am happy with it. Just wondering if I might lose some! So DO NOT GIVE ME DIET TIPS!
They are the size of thin-mints the Girl-Scout cookies and contain 160 calories in four.

is it really bad to eat past 6?? does it REALLY turn to fat? read.?

Cookie Diet 3 Comments »

i try not to but i cant do it! i try to eat at 5:30 and that be it for the night but my body’s never hungry at 5:30 it gets hungry at like 4 and then 7 and then it hurts. lately ive been not eating pass 6 but just now i couldnt do it and i ate (at 7 o’clock). i ate a healthy whole wheat sandwhich, with fresh turkey, fresh cheese, and fresh lettuce (like not packaged, all non-procesed) but now i feel guilty that its gonna turn to fat!!!!!!!

i go to bed at 10 at night so do you think eating at 7 is bad?
and on weekends i go to bed at like 11 or 12 so do u think i could eat at like 8 or 9?

ive recently lost 5 pounds i had a week off from school. i made 3 changes in my diet, 1) eating healthier, no cookies, donuts, ect.. 2) didnt have school lunches 3) didnt eat past 6

well i decided eating 100% healthy is dumb so if i want cookies, i eat cookies. but i dont do it all the time (and i never did) so i didnt lose weight from elimination number 1 so it was either number 2 or 3…

i also used to eat school lunches hot sauce wraps, or chicken & fries, or pepporoni bread EVERY ONE OF THE 5 days!
so i either lost 5 pounds from not eating past 6 or not eating school lunch. what do u think? can i eat past 6. this is just sucky…. i dont know what to do any advice? and no i dont eat big meals like 5 minutes before bed anyways

Comfort ate way too much tonight, but gonna start diet tomorrow. This is my play, will I lose weight?

Cookie Diet 3 Comments »

Tonight I wound up comfort eating on a ton of crackers, cereal, cookies, peanut butter and frosting because I got totally emotional for personal reasons, and right now I’m totally beating myself up for it. But tomorrow I plan on starting a healthy diet, without any splurge days or comfort-eat days.

I’m a 16 year-old girl, I’m only 5’2″ but I weigh 130 lbs. I’ve done alot of dieting, and one diet actually got me to lose 5 lbs in two weeks, and I kept it off. And then I did that diet for so long, it stopped working, and I did other things. I got down to 124 lbs and I wanted to lose another 6 – 10 lbs. So I did the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD and I still ate healthy while doing it, but I gained 6 lbs so I’m back to 130. I’m pretty sure some of that is muscle though, cause I play alot of DDR and I have alot of muscle in my calves and I can feel alot in my thighs, and I noticed more in my thighs, arms and abs after I finished the DVD. So I’m trying to do a exercise routine that’s mainly cardio, to burn the fat.

I have a slightly pear/hour glass shaped body, but all of my fat is stored on my bum and my thighs, and I have a small layer of fat on my stomach as well, covering some slightly toned abs.

My measurements are 36 inch bust, 29 inch waist and 39 inch bum, and I can hardly squeeze into a size 8 pants. I want to get them all down just a bit, especially my bum, I want it at about 36. That’s only 3 inches, a reasonable goal if were to lose about 10 – 15 lbs before summer, like I’m hoping to.

The foods I eat are oatmeal (unsweetened) , fruits (berries apples and bananas), vegetables, whole wheat breads and bagels, peanut butter, almonds, popcorn or sugar-free jello if i need a snack, healthy things like that. No meat though cause I’m a vegetarian. I’m gonna try to eat between 1200 – 1500 calories a day. And I also drink 3 glasses of green tea a day, and a lot of water, one liter after every half hour I work out, and more throughout the day.

My workout, which I’ll do everyday besides one day to give myself a break (I’ll still keep active on that day though) will be a half an hour of using my exercise bike at 35 – 45 mph, which burns around 800 – 900 calories and then a half hour exercise routine that’ll be something like this

abs:
50 reps of crunches
30 reps of sit ups
30 reps of reverse crunches
60 reps of leg twists in a plank pose

30 lunges
30 squats
100 walking lunges (50 per side)
30 butterflies

and a small cardio routine (12 minutes)

I run in place for 3 minutes
Then I do jump rope for 3
Then I run for a minute and a half
Jump for another 3
And run for another minute and a half

So if I follow through with this, will I lose the inches and the weight I want to by summer??

Thanks soo much! :D
