I’m sure at some point you have heard of the Cookie Diet. You know, the one where you eat nothing all day but Cookies? I guess the main question is how well does it work, and how healthy is it to be eating these all day? I understand the name can throw you off a bit, but there is actually a lot more choices of food on the plan including different shakes and muffins. If your thinking about trying this fad, there are a couple things you will want to keep in mind before starting.

1. You get to eat a normal balance dinner.

On top of the provided foods of the diet, you also are supposed to eat a well balanced meal in the evenings. This can include a ton of stuff including chicken breast, leafy greens, and vegetables. So if you were thinking that you would get sick of all the same foods, you actually do have more options and it’s not THAT bad.

2. It promotes quick weight loss, but may not be the best choice.

The simple fact of this diet is that you are restricted from a ton of calories. A normal day can be less than 1000 calories, which can sometimes be unbearable if you are used to a normal 2,000 or so. This is one of the few drawbacks I have seen with this routine. I believe that there is not enough calories to keep your body from entering into a starvation mode.

3. You cannot work out.

The weight loss experts suggest that you don’t work out during the beginning phases. They think that because of the small amount of caloric intake, it’s very difficult to maintain enough energy throughout the day if you include exercising. I’m not a huge fan of this idea.

In my humble opinion, this plan would work great for only a small percentage of people that weren’t able to lose any weight any other way. My recommendation is to follow other notable diets that may provide a more suitable routine for the duration of the plan.

If you were thinking about checking out this fad, you may want to weigh out all the reasons good and bad before making a decision.
