How can I lose weight?
Cookie Diet October 24th, 2009
I am 6’1 and 210 pounds and 18 years old. I have always been on the bigger side and have always been seeking ways to drop the fat once and for all. I lift weights on a regular basis and golf often. My problem is the temptation of food. I can think all day that when i get home I will have an apple and healthy dinner. The dinner is no problem, I can always eat a good dinner, but the snacks are the hard part, I try to stop eating altogether in between meals and that doesn’t help. If I have one cookie, I have to have another. What is the best solution for me? I don’t think the 6 small meals a day diet would help, I think less oppurtunities for eating would be best. My main key to success of losing weight would be resisting the temptation of food, I want to know how to do that and build up my will power. Any answers are appreciated.
Thank you for visiting our Cookie Diet website today. We hope you join the program and start losing weight.
Try this, its proven from my patients:
Instead of eating cookies or other snacks for in-betweens, try churning up for fresh green salads without the dressing or just a teaspoon of dressing. A piece of apple or an orange (not orange juice but the whole fruit including the fibers) will also do.
Fibers and roughage will help you stomach feel fuller and would help maintain the blood sugar levels in a more constant level making you think less of being hungry.
Also, it would hlp if you take your meals at regular time or intervals. This will help your system adjust to your day and be productive out of it.
Last about food, try to take your food at least 4 hours before sleeping. Food means all calorie containing food and drinks. The only real sure 100% no calorie is water, pure water! The others, try not having them 4 hours prior to sleeping.
Lastly, weight lifting is not a form of exercise to make you lose weight. It is for body building and sometimes would make you gain weight in certain areas of you body. A good exercise for weight loss is aerobic exercise. It does not need to be streneous, it could be very light. What is important is that the physical activity is sustained in a prolonged period of time (not less than 30 minutes) and would keep your body moving, and breathing.
Walking is also a form of aerobic exercise, you don’t need to buy a treadmill to do it, just go out and walk. You can go to a mall and roam around for hours, that would be an exercise.
By the way, you should weigh around 187 pounds as your desirable body weight. 10% more or less is acceptable though.
Hope you’ll get to your target!
