how do i help my mother lose weight?
Cookie Diet December 29th, 2009
i’ve started to lose a lot of weight and my mother’s really proud of me, but i’m worried about her. every time i talk about my future children, and how i want her to be around, she says she’d probably be dead by then. i want her to see her grandchildren, and be around to bake cakes and cookies with us over the holidays like i do with my grandmother. i’m scared her eating problem may get in the way. we’ve talked about it, and she says she has no will power like i do. i keep telling her i’ll help her, but she’s not willing to try. she’s already been in the hospital a couple times. i really don’t wanna lose her. what should i do?
Thank you for visiting our Cookie Diet website today. We hope you join the program and start losing weight.
I know exactly what you mean. I have the same issue with my mom.
I lost 100 lbs, and I really want my mom to feel the way I do, and be healthy like me. She says she wants to lose weight but she does everything opposite of what she should be doing. I try to give her suggestions but she doesn’t take my advice. One thing I’ve learned is that people won’t actually lose weight (and keep it off) until they’re really ready to make a lifestyle change. Sad, but true.
One thing you can do is cook for her, or make snacks and show her how great eating healthy can be. Hopefully she’ll find foods she likes that are also healthy.
