How do I stay on my diet and lose weight?

I’ve had a weight problem for about 3 years now. I lost 21 lbs about 2 years ago, but then gained it all back. Recently, I’ve gained like 20 lbs more and it’s my highest weight ever. I try so hard but it’s like there’s no way to lose it. I ask my mom to try to not buy cookies and all that junk because it tempts me even more but then she just says, "You’re not the only one that lives in this house." I even eat when I’m not hungry. It’s not even for the ‘looks’ aspect anymore; I just want to be healthy. How do I stay motivated and resist temptation?
I know you have to exercise too. My sister got a eliptical bike for one of her Christmas presents and she said I could use it.

I can easily relate to you
WILL POWER. we all seem to be lacking it these days. but it’s pretty hard to resist all those delicious looking treats.. especially when you’re bored and it’s right there. that’s when you need to go on a walk. ride a bike or something.
just keep this thought in your mind. would you rather have that taste in your mouth that will last you a nothing but a few seconds, or do you want a healthy body that will last you a lifetime?
once you get into good habits of eating healthier and excercising more, you’ll feel so great, you’ll see it’s ridiculous to take any steps back.
i promise you that you can do this.
it’s your fault if you make, and it’s your fault if you don’t.
you make your own reality.
so do you want to be healthy??
