cross country keeps you fit, so stay with it even though you are discouraged that you are not losing weight.
i have a few recommendations for you.
-drink a lot of water
-do not skip meals, always eat breakfast (i know this sounds lame but it really does help. it keeps you more alert and keeps your body in line)
-try eating 2/3’s less. this isnt much, so dont starve yourself. but for example if you usually eat three peices of toast, cut it down to two peices. its a huge difference in the longrun.
-avoid carbs- breads and pasta, dont eat too much of that stuff
-avoid eating a lot of cheese. from personal expirience, i ate grilled cheese everday for about a year and ended up gaining a lot of weight. im typically small framed, so for me i gained a lot but worked it off.
-you can do a set of crunches every night, it helped me.
and lastly, just love yourself. you would be surprised how big of a difference this can make.
goodluck
