Is it normal for my 1 year old to lose weight after taken off formula?
Cookie Diet July 11th, 2009
My daughter turned one on jan 3rd, i brought her to the docs on the 5th because she was due for a needle, during my visit i asked my doc when should she be on whole milk and he told me now. so i think about 3 days later i stoped with the formula and put her on milk. She has also been getting some solid foods as well like yogurt mash potatoes soft cookies apple juice peach baby food tea….these are the only foods she will actually consume, anything else she will eat a bit but wont each much. so i feel so bad that all my baby is eaten is mash potato’s yogurt cookies peach baby food and milk i want her to eat more and i think because she is only eaten what im given her she is losing weight. I NEED an idea of what to give her to eat so she is full and isn’t missing out on any nutrition’s like i don’t want her eating any empty calorie foods….please help im a first time mom and im stressing out

Just keep giving her new things, my daughter would only feed herself she wouldn’t eat anything off of a spoon maybe you can try giving her finger foods and leaving them on her tray. Maybe she’ll eat them. I still have my 15 month old on formula because she’s not a very good eater. I’m planning on taking her off of it by the time she’s 2. She only has 2 bottles of formula a day but it makes a big difference! I also give her a vitamin every day. My daughter eats: oatmeal, ceareal, fruit, toast, bagels, chicken nuggets, chicken, pasta, steamed veggies, yogurt, she eats the gerber puffs, potatoes and steak pretty much anything we’re eating….
