Cookie Diet January 3rd, 2009
Over Christmas I gained a few pounds, right now I'm at 5'5 and 135 pounds. I nice lower weight would be nice, and I must admit, I love food.
Does anyone have any tips or good foods that will help me lower my weight?
Thank you for visiting our Cookie Diet website today. We hope you join the program and start losing weight.
Make a few small changes and you will lose weight over time. Here are some things to incorporate that will make a difference:
1. Drink at least 8 glases of water a day and eliminate all drinks with calories, including soda and fruit juices. Get you vitamins by eating the fruit, not by drinking the juices.
2. Park at the far end of the parking lot, rather than as close as you can get to the door.
3. Always use the stairs, never the escalator or elevator.
4. If you job is an office job, make a point of gettin up at least once an hour. If you have stairs at your workplace, do one flight of stairs several times a day – such as whenever you go to the washroom.
5. If you can, walk to work rather than driving, or try to do that once a week
6. Don't go out to eat – prepare food at home.
7. Get rid of all the junk food in your house.
8. Get a pedometer and try to get your walking up to 10,000 steps a day. When I gave myself this challenge, I tried to find all kinds of ways to incorporate a few more steps into my day.
9. If you are interested, start a strength training program at home. You can do many simple strength training exercises at work and at home.
10. If it would work for you, invest in one of those small steppers. I found mine for $3 at a second hand store, and it is great. It takes up only about 1 square foot of space, and I use it for only a minute or two at a time at various points in the day, but it makes a difference.
11. When watching TV, get up during every commercial – but don't go to the refridgerator!!
