I’m afraid of turning into one of those people that who count calories down to the last one, and then freak if they go 10 calories of 2 grams of fat over. I’m not makeing excuses but my budget is already very tight (and I’m low income to start with) but it’s just harder to afford fresh fruits and veggies. I do eat a lot of canned, and frozen, but I prefer fresh. I do eat a bowl of salad almost each night with dinner, and snack on what ever fruit I’ve been able to afford that week. I don’t add salt to my food, I cook with a lot of spices to add flavor to my food, and I buy canned and frozen goods with no salt or low sodium. I CAN’T stand the taste of fat free cookies and diet soda. I’d rather eat 2 cookies than 5 fat free ones, and drink 4-6 ounces of regular soda than a can of diet. I am careful with how much sugar is in what I eat. I drink a lot of Ice Tea (made from fresh brewed tea bags) and drink several glasses of water a day. How can I keep motivated on a tight budget?
