If you’re 5.9 and 101.4 lbs, you are already underweight, so you don’t need to be on a diet to try to lose weight. You still can eat healthy foods (whole grains, fruit, veggies, lean proteins and dairy), but I recommend increasing your daily calories to at least 1200.
I think the second diet is better for you because it seems to have a few more calories. Trust me - you are not overweight. Please refer to the attached BMI chart, which is what doctors use, and it will show that you are underweight, which can lead to:
* Compromised immune function
* Respiratory disease
* Digestive disease
* Cancer
* Osteoporosis
* Increased risk of falls and fractures
The lowest recommended weight for you is 125 lbs.
