How Does the Raw Food Diet Work?

There is a brand new and exciting diet sweeping across America – well, it is actually now all over the world!
Of course I am talking about “the raw food diet”. People are no longer asking does the raw food diet work, but simply asking how exactly they can use it too, and what the “rules” are!
The main principle of the diet is pretty simple: you should focus on eating UNCOOKED and nutritious foods. The food we eat loses its nutritional value when we cook them. The process of heating, cooking, and boiling our food in itself loses a lot of nutritional value from the food. So if you eat everything raw you will get all the nturients and this is much better for you obviously.
The main staples of the diet are fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. As for drinking you can use any natural fruit juice, unpasteurized milk, tea, and obviously pure water. Alcohol should be avoided as it has a high calorie content.
The diet will work for you, but only if you do itt as a change in lifestyle and keep it for the long term. If you just try it for a couple of weeks and then go back to your old habits then you will put the weight back on.
It’s main criticism is that as you don’t eat meats you miss out on some vital nutrients. For example, if you take it literally and exclude all meats, egg, and fish from your diet then you will be seriously short of calcium, protein, and iron.
So does the raw food diet work? Well, it is perhaps not the best diet to do for a long period of time, but if you combine its principles with healthy meats such as turkey and chicken, and eat fish then you can live a healthy balanced life and lose weight while also improving your health and energy levels.
Alternatively if you plan to stay vegetarian then you should eat extra vitamins to make up for the ones you will miss from your diet.
